Cruise Indicator - Range on/Off

This data indicates what message is being sent from the Body Function Controller (BFC) to the Instrument Cluster to control the CRUISE indicator illumination. On, is displayed when the Body Function Controller (BFC) is commanding the Instrument Cluster to illuminate the CRUISE indicator which indicates the Cruise Control System is engaged and is controlling vehicle speed. Off, is displayed when the Body Function Controller (BFC) is commanding the Instrument Cluster not to illuminate the CRUISE indicator. With Cruise engaged, the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) receives an input signal from the Cruise Control Module. The Powertrain Control Module (PCM) sends a Class 2 serial data line message to the Body Function Controller (BFC) which sends a Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI) serial data line message to the Instrument Cluster commanding it to illuminate the CRUISE indicator. In the event of an Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI) data line failure, the CRUISE indicator will not illuminate unless, the CRUISE indicator was illuminated prior to the Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI) data line failure.
