Theft System Indicator

The THEFT SYSTEM indicator (red) indicates whether the Body Function Controller (BFC) has determined if the Passlock(R) data has passed. The Body Function Controller (BFC) then sends to the

Instrument Cluster via the Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI) serial data bus the message to turn ON or OFF the THEFT SYSTEM indicator. The THEFT SYSTEM indicator will be ON when any DTC is set or the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) VTD Fail-Enable bit is True in the last vehicle Security Status message received and the Body Function Controller (BFC) is not in the Auto Learn Mode. The THEFT SYSTEM indicator will flash when the Powertrain Control Module (PCM)'s Fuel Disable Time-out bit is set in the last Vehicle Security Status message received since the Ignition Switch was turned to the RUN position.
