Scan Tool Display: This data indicates what message is being sent from the
Body Function Controller (BFC) to the Instrument Cluster to control the THEFT SYSTEM indicator On, is displayed when the
Body Function Controller (BFC) is commanding the Instrument Cluster to illuminate the THEFT SYSTEM indicator. Off, is displayed when the Body Function Controller (BFC) is not commanding the Instrument Cluster to illuminate the THEFT SYSTEM indicator. An illuminated THEFT SYSTEM indicator indicates the Body Function Controller (BFC) has determined the Passlock� data has not passed. Powertrain Control Module (PCM) VTD fail-enable bit is true in the last vehicle security status message received and the Body Function Controller (BFC) is not in the auto learn mode. The THEFT SYSTEM indicator will flash when the Body Function Controller (BFC) detects a tamper or the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) fuel disable time-out bit is set in the last vehicle security status message received since the Ignition Switch was turned to the RUN position.
