System Operation

The audible warnings system brings to the driver's attention one or more of the following conditions:
^ The exterior lights are ON with the following conditions present:
- The ignition switch is in one of the following positions:
^ LOCK
^ OFF
^ ACCY
- The left front door is open.

^ The ignition key is in the ignition switch with the following conditions present:
- The ignition switch is in one of the following positions:
^ LOCK
^ OFF
^ ACCY
- The left front door is open.

^ The seat belt is unbuckled while the ignition switch is in the RUN or the START position.
^ A turn signal is on and the vehicle has traveled over 1.2 km (3/4 mi).
^ The park brake is applied and the vehicle has traveled approximately 12 m (40 ft).
