Seat Adjustments - Front





Removal Procedure

Important: Securely latch the seat back (1) in the full forward position before removal. Use the following procedure:
- Lift up on the recliner handle in order to move the seat back to the full forward position. This action will release the recliner.
- Pull back on the seat back without lifting the handle. The recliner will latch the seat back into the full forward position.

1. Remove the seat back recliner handle.
2. Remove the seat cushion outer trim panel.
3. Remove the front seat cushion cover J-retainers.
4. Lift the front seat cushion cover in order to access the following components:
- The recliner cable (2)
- The retaining screw (4)

5. Remove the recliner cable retaining screw (4) from the outboard recliner (5).





Installation Procedure

Important: Do NOT apply excessive force in order to remove the slack. This action may partially unlatch the inboard recliner.

1. Pull rearward on the cable casing in order to remove the cable slack.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install the recliner cable retaining screw (4).
- Tighten the screw to 1 N.m (9 lb in).
3. Install the front seat cushion cover J-retainers.
4. Install the seat cushion outer trim panel. Tighten
- Tighten the screw to 1 N.m (9 lb in).
5. Install the seat back recliner handle.
- Tighten the screw to 1 N.m (9 lb in).
