Compression (NR)

The compression function processes the audio signal and makes quieter passages louder. This allows the music to be heard in an automotive environment. The NR button serves a dual function with one of the radio preset buttons. Pressing this control in the CD mode toggles the NR function on or oft. The unit will stay in the selected mode until one of the following conditions occurs:
The COMP (compression) symbol displays while this feature is in turned on and is only active in the CD mode.
