Seek Button

When you use the seek function, refer to the following steps:
^ The SEEK push-button is a rocker type which provides seek up or down in the direction pressed.
^ Pressing the top portion of the button causes the radio to seek up infrequency.
^ Pressing the bottom portion of the button causes the radio to seek down infrequency.
^ The audio mutes while the radio is in the seek mode.
^ The frequency changes until a signal of sufficient strength stops the seek process or after two complete loops of the band width.
^ If the selected frequency is a preset on the current band, SEEK also selects the associated ATC mode, where applicable.

The following are additional features of the SEEK button for the U1F radio only:
^ If you press and hold the SEEK button, the seek action will begin, then stop and stay on the next signal of sufficient strength.
^ If you press the SEEK button a second time while seeking is in process, the seeking action will cease, and the receiver will revert to the previous state just prior to the original seek command.
^ If you press any of the 5 preset buttons while seeking, the seeking action will cease and the receiver will tune to the frequency of that preset.
^ If you adjust the TUNE control while seeking, the seeking action will cease and the frequency will change from the preset scanned frequency.

The seek UP portion of this function is replicated on the steering wheel control.
