Seat Replacement

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Move the seat to the full-forward position.
2. Remove the 2 rear bolts that secure the seat to the floor pan.




3. Remove the rear support covers (3).
4. Move the seat rearward.




5. Tilt the seat forward.




6. Move the rear of the front track cover down.
7. Slide the seat forward.
8. Unsnap the trim cover.




9. Tilt the seat forward.
10. Disconnect the electrical connectors (2).
11. Disconnect the pneumatic hose (6,7), as equipped.
12. Remove the seat with the aid from an assistant.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE





IMPORTANT: Prior to installing the seat, verify that the area where the hooks engage is not deformed or raised. If the sheet metal is deformed, flatten the raised sheet metal with an appropriate device, such as a ball peen hammer.

1. Position the seat, with the aid from an assistant, in order to align the hooks in the slots.
2. Tilt the seat forward.
3. Connect the electrical connectors (2).
4. Connect the pneumatic air hoses (6,7), as equipped.




5. Tilt the seat forward.
Snap the track cover down into position.




6. Install the rear support covers (3).




IMPORTANT: Install the rear adjuster cover prior to securing the seat with the bolt. Ensure that the adjuster tongues are under the track.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

7. Install the 2 rear bolts in order to secure the seat to the floor pan.

Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 35 N.m (26 lb ft).

8. Reposition the seat.
