Actuator Description

The Heating, Ventilation, And Air Conditioning (HVAC) system uses the following 5 actuators:
^ The driver air mix actuator
^ The passenger air mix actuator
^ The mode actuator
^ The air inlet actuator
^ The heater/defrost actuator

The actuators are specifically designed for the right side and the left side of the heater and A/C module. When servicing the actuator, replace the actuator with the correct service pan for the position you are servicing.

The reversible Direct Current (DC) motor in the actuator operates the valve within the HVAC module The actuators contain a feedback potentiometer that informs the heater and A/C programmer of the valve position.
