Coolant Air Bleed Pipe Assembly Replacement
Removal ProcedureNotice: When adding coolant, use DEX-COOL coolant. If silicated coolant is added to the system, premature engine, heater core or radiator corrosion may result. In addition, the engine coolant will require change sooner-at 5O,000 km (3O,000 mi) or 24 months.
1. Partially drain and recover the coolant.
2. Remove the coolant air bleed pipe retaining bolt from the cylinder block and the retaining nut from the exhaust manifold stud.
3. Disconnect the surge tank inlet hose and clamp from the surge tank hose.
4. Remove the air bleed pipe from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
1. Install the air bleed pipe to the coolant outlet housing.
2. Connect the surge tank inlet hose and clamp to the tank hose.
3. Install the air bleed pipe and the retaining bolt and nut.
Refill the cooling system.
