Instrument Panel (IP) - Tie Bar / Cross Vehicle Beam

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

CAUTION: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Cautions and Notices.

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the instrument panel carrier.
3. Disconnect the wiring harness from the cross vehicle beam.
4. Remove the bolts (2) from the bracket joining the cross vehicle beam to the HVAC module (3).




5. Remove the bolts joining the cross vehicle beam (1) to the front of the dash (2).
6. Remove the cross vehicle beam.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE



1. Install the cross vehicle beam (1) to the front of the dash (2).
2. Install the bolts.




3. Install the bolts joining the cross vehicle beam to the HVAC module bracket (3).
4. Connect the wiring harness to the cross vehicle beam.
5. Install the instrument panel.
