Door Ajar

Each door module monitors the associated door ajar switch signal circuit. The DIC receives a class 2 message from the Driver Door Module (DDM) indicating that the specific door ajar switch is active. The DIC displays the XX DOOR AJAR message when the vehicle is not in park or neutral. The IPC sends a class 2 message to the radio in order to activate an audible warning.
^ The DRIVERS DOOR AJAR - 8 message displays when the DDM detects that the driver door is open or ajar (signal circuit is low).
^ The LEFT REAR DOOR AJAR - 13 message displays when the Left Rear Door Module (LRDM) detects that the left rear door is open or ajar (signal circuit is low). The LRDM sends a message to the DDM via the door module serial data circuit.
^ The PASSENGER DOOR AJAR - 21 message displays when the Passenger Door Module (PDM) detects that the passenger door is open or ajar (signal circuit is low). The PDM sends a message to the DDM via the door module serial data circuit.
^ The RIGHT REAR DOOR AJAR - 22 message displays when the Right Rear Door Module (RRDM) detects that the right rear door is open or ajar (signal circuit is low). The RRDM sends a message to the DDM via the door module serial data circuit.
