Fast Forward (FWD Button)

The FWD button is a non-latching momentary contact control. The FWD button serves a dual function with the radio preset button # 2. The radio preset button is a press and hold type button. The button allows forward movement within the disc at a faster rate than normal playback rate as long as the button is held. When activated, the audio level reduces by 6dB. The disc plays in the forward direction at a rate of 6 times normal speed. Elapsed time within the selected track displays while in the FWD mode.
