Instrument Panel (IP) - Bracket Replacement

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

CAUTION: Refer to SIR Caution in Service Precautions.




1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to Disabling the SIR System in Restraint Systems.
2. Remove the IP carrier. Refer to IP Carrier Replacement.
3. Remove the fasteners from the IP end bracket to the hinge pillar.
4. Remove the IP end bracket.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Position the IP end bracket to the hinge pillar.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the fasteners in order to secure the IP end bracket to the hinge pillar.

Tighten
Tighten the fasteners to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).

3. Install the IP carrier. Refer to IP Carrier Replacement.
4. Enable the SIR system. Refer to Enabling the SIR System in Restraint Systems.
