Instrument Panel Upper Trim Pad Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Remove left and right windshield garnish moldings. Refer to Windshield Pillar Garnish Molding Replacement (Windshield Pillar Garnish Molding Replacement) In Interior Trim.
2. Remove the defroster grille. Refer to Defroster Grille Replacement (Instrument Panel (IP) - Defroster Grille Replacement).
3. Remove the right IP trim panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Accessory Trim Plate Replacement - Right Side (Instrument Panel (IP) - Accessory Trim Plate Replacement - Right Side).
4. Remove the IP cluster trim plate bezel. Refer to Instrument Panel Cluster Trim Plate Bezel Replacement (Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) - Trim Plate Bezel Replacement).
5. Remove the fasteners that secure the IP upper trim pad (1) to the IP retainer.
6. Lift the pad upward in order to remove from the IP.

Installation Procedure




1. Position the IP upper trim pad on to the IP.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install the fasteners that secure the IP Upper trim pad (1) to the IP retainer.

Tighten the fasteners to 2 Nm (18 lb in).

3. Install the IP cluster trim plate bezel. Refer to Instrument Panel Cluster Trim Plate Bezel Replacement (Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) - Trim Plate Bezel Replacement).
4. Install the right IP trim panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Accessory Trim Plate Replacement - Right Side (Instrument Panel (IP) - Accessory Trim Plate Replacement - Right Side).
5. Install the defroster grille. Refer to Defroster Grille Replacement (Instrument Panel (IP) - Defroster Grille Replacement).
6. Install left and right windshield garnish moldings. Refer to Windshield Pillar Garnish Molding Replacement (Windshield Pillar Garnish Molding Replacement) in Interior Trim.
