Secondary Air INJ Control Valve Replacement - Bank 1 (Dual Pump System)

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Remove the nuts retaining the rear AIR exhaust hose to AIR check valve.
2. Remove the AIR exhaust hose from the AIR check valve.
3. Disconnect the AIR vacuum hoses.
4. Remove the nuts retaining the AIR check valve to the exhaust manifold pipe.
5. Remove the rear AIR check valve.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the rear AIR check valve.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the nuts retaining the AIR check valve to the exhaust manifold pipe.

Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

3. Reconnect the AIR vacuum hoses.
4. Install the AIR exhaust hose to the AIR check valve.
5. Install the nuts retaining the AIR exhaust hose to the bracket.

Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 9 N.m (80 lb in).
