Coil Spring Replacement- Tools Required

Removal Procedure
1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
2. Remove the tire and wheel.
3. Support the control arm with a suitable jack.
4. Remove the automatic level control air tube from the shock.
5. Remove the lower shock absorber retaining bolts.
6. Remove the adjustment link retaining nut.
7. Using J24319-B separate the adjustment link from the lower control arm.
8. Slowly lower the lower control arm until it bottoms on the support assembly.
9. Using a pry bar, pry under the lower coil spring insulator and remove the coil spring with the insulator.
10. Remove the upper coil spring insulator by pulling downward.
Installation Procedure
1. Install the upper insulator to the body.
2. Install the lower insulator in the control arm.
3. Install the spring ensuring the insulator is seated in the lower control arm.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
4. Raise the lower control arm and install the lower shock bolts to the lower control arm.
- Tighten the lower shock absorber retaining bolts to 24 Nm (18 ft. lbs.).
5. Install the adjustment link to the control arm.
6. Install the adjustment link retaining nut.
- Tighten adjustment link retaining nut to 75 Nm (55 ft. lbs.).
7. Connect the automatic level control air tube to the shock absorber.
8. Install the tire and wheel.
9. Lower the vehicle.
