Oil Pressure Sensor: Service and Repair

Engine Oil Pressure Sensor and/or Switch Replacement

Removal Procedure





1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
2. Disconnect the electrical connector from the engine oil pressure switch.
3. Remove the engine oil pressure switch from the engine block.

Installation Procedure

Notice: Refer to Component Fastener Tightening Notice in Service Precautions.





1. Install the engine oil pressure switch to the engine block.
^ Tighten the engine oil pressure switch to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.).
2. Connect the electrical connector to the engine oil pressure switch.
3. Lower the vehicle.
4. Inspect for oil leaks after engine start up.
5. Adjust the engine oil level to the full mark.
