Radio/Stereo: Service and Repair
REMOVAL PROCEDURE1. Remove the instrument panel accessory trim plate.
2. Remove the bolts from the radio.
3. Pull the radio toward you.
4. Disconnect the electrical/audio connector from the rear of the radio.
5. Disconnect the coaxial cable from the rear of the radio.
6. Remove the radio from the instrument panel.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Connect the coaxial cable to the rear of the radio.
2. Connect the electrical/audio connector to the rear of the radio.
3. Install the radio to the instrument panel.
IMPORTANT: If the radio locator tab is difficult to align to the IP locator opening, pull the radio toward you and reposition the antenna cable.
4. Align the radio locator tab to the IP locator opening while pressing the radio into the instrument panel until fully seated.
NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
5. Install the bolts to the radio.
Tighten
Tighten the radio bolts to 3 N.m (25 lb in).
6. Install the instrument panel accessory trim plate.
