Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the spare tire cover, the jack, and the spare tire.
3. Remove the rear compartment trim panel.
4. Remove the fuel sender access panel nuts.
5. Remove the fuel sender access panel.




6. Disconnect the fuel tank pressure sensor electrical connector.
7. Remove the fuel tank pressure sensor (7) from fuel sender assembly.
8. Remove the fuel tank pressure sensor seal.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install a new fuel tank pressure sensor seal.
2. Install the new fuel tank pressure sensor (7) to the fuel sender assembly.
3. Connect the fuel tank pressure sensor electrical connector.




4. Install the fuel sender access panel.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Caution and Notices.

5. Install the fuel sender access panel nuts.

Tighten
Tighten the nuts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

6. Install the rear compartment trim panel.
7. Install the spare tire, the jack, and the spare tire cover.
8. Connect the negative battery cable.
