Trim Plate Bezel Replacement - Instrument Panel (I/P) Cluster (Oldsmobile)

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the screws from the instrument panel (I/P) cluster trim plate.
2. Pull the I/P cluster trim plate (1) rearward. Pull up and out to release the lower retainers.
3. Disconnect the electrical connector (2) from the trip reset switch (3).
4. Disengage the retainers on the trip reset switch. Remove the trip reset switch from the I/P cluster trim plate.
5. Remove the I/P cluster trim plate.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the trip reset switch (3) to the I/P cluster trim plate (1). Press the switch into place until fully seated.
2. Connect the electrical connector (2) to the trip reset switch.
3. Position the retainers on the I/P cluster trim plate to the slots in the I/P.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

4. Install the I/P cluster trim plate screws.

Tighten the screws to 2 N.m (18 lb in).
