SYMPTOM/CONDITION
All messages given by electronic voice alert system are at an excessive volume level.
REPAIR PROCEDURE
The above condition may be caused by an improperly positioned voice alert message speaker wire (X53). This wire must be removed from cavity 3 and inserted into cavity 4 (previously not used).

Please make this change in your 1987 Front Wheel Drive Wiring Diagram Service Manual, publication #81-270-7004, page 8H-128 and 8H-70 (Figure 1).
In addition, note that the EVA uses its own speaker in 1987, not the radio speaker as shown on page 8H-70 of the service manual.
