NOTE: On Air Bag Equipped Models, Refer To Air Bag System Precautions For System Disarming & Arming Procedures.

NOTE: Prior To Performing Any Service Operations Listed, Consult Technical Service Bulletins Section For Related Information.

ENGINE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION:
1. Relieve fuel system pressure as outlined under Service Precautions.
2. Drain engine coolant.

3. Remove radiator assy.
4. Mark hood hinge location on hood, then remove hood.
5. Drain transaxle fluid.
6. Drain engine oil.
7. Evacuate A/C system.

8. Remove engine in numbered sequence shown in Diagrams 1,2,3 and 4, noting following:
A. Without disconnecting its hydraulic lines, remove power steering pump from its mounting bracket and support pump aside.
B. Ensure all hoses, cables, harness connections are disconnected.

9. Reverse procedure to install, Noting the following:
A. Do not to pinch any cables, hoses, pipes or harnesses.
B. Adjust accelerator cable and speed control cables free play clearance.
C. Refill and bleed cooling system. and check for leaks.
