Adjust Throttle Control Cable
I. Adjust Transmission Throttle Control Cable (Automatic Transmission Vehicles Only)1. Locate the transmission throttle control cable, and raise the upper rubber cover upwards to expose the cable stopper.

2. Loosen lower cable bracket mounting bolt.
3. Adjust the distance between cable stopper and lower cover to 0.12 inches (3 mm), (Figure 12).
Note: The engine must be at normal operating temperature.
4. Tighten lower cable bracket mounting bolt to 10 ft-lbs (13 N-m).
5. Move carburetor throttle into wide open position. Check to see that the transmission throttle control cable still has additional movement available. If the cable does not have any further movement, readjust the cable again.
6. Reinstall the air cleaner assembly.
