J.Install Intermediate Harness

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2. Locate the Carburetor Control Unit under the center console.

3. FOR MANUAL TRANSMISSION VEHICLES

a. Disconnect the smaller of the two Carburetor Control Unit (CCU) connectors.

b. Insert the intermediate harness between the CCU and connector (Figure 14).

c. The connnector may be secured to the vehicle floor with the provided adhesive tape.

4. FOR AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION VEHICLES

a. Disconnect both of the Carburetor Control Unit (CCU) connectors.

b. Insert the intermediate harness between the CCU and the two connectors (Figure 15).
c. The harness connectors may be secured to the vehicle floor with the provided adhesive tape.

d. Peel the protective backing from the harness modulator adhesive strip and attach the modulator to the forward facing side of the CCU.

5. Reconnect the negative battery cable.
