SYMPTOM/CONDITION

Engine die out during cold start and/or rough running during warm up.

DIAGNOSIS

Verify proper operation of system and components.. If condition still exists, continue with repair procedure.

PARTS REQUIRED

The following must be ordered separately.

1 ESA/EFC Module PN 4379555
1 EGR Valve PN 4287667
1 Authorized Modification Label PN 4275086

REPAIR PROCEDURE

This repair involves installing a revised ESA/EFC Module and EGR Valve.

1. Remove the old ESA/EFC module and install ESA/EFC module, PN 4379555, as outlined in the service manual.

2. Remove the old EGR valve and install EGR valve, PN 4287667, as outlined in the service manual.

3. Type the Authorized Modification Label, PN 4275086, as shown in Figure 1 and attach near VECI label.
