Fuel Pump: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect negative battery cable.
2. Raise vehicle on hoist.
3. Loosen hose clamps and remove hoses from fuel pump nipples, using a rag to catch any fuel spilled in the process.
4. Remove fuel pump mounting bolts, and remove the fuel pump.
5. Clean surface of block where fuel pump mates to block.

INSTALLATION
1. Install fuel pump with new gasket and torque bolts to
2. Attach hoses to fuel pump nipples and tighten hose clamps.
3. Lower the vehicle, connect negative battery cable.
4. START the engine and check for leaks.
