Cruise Control: Description and Operation

The speed control system controls fixed-speed driving speed setting or cancellation based upon data provided by input signals, including the switches. When the speed control system is cancelled, by any input, the cause is stored in memory by the ECU. This provides the ECU with a self-diagnosis function, which can lessen the time required for checking and repairing system malfunctions.
