Input test should be performed to verify that the input signals are normal when system malfunctions or the speed control system cannot be set.

1. Connect a voltmeter between ground and auto-cruise control terminal of diagnostic connector, located on lower left side of instrument panel.
2. Turn ignition switch to ON position and cruise control switch to OFF position.
3. Turn Set switch and Cruise switch ON then within one second, turn Resume switch to ON position.
4. Perform each input operation according to input check chart. Each code will be displayed in order of priority, beginning with check No. 1. No display indicates a possible malfunction of the ECU power supply. Refer to, CIRCUIT TESTS.
5. If output code is not displayed after two cycles, either switch or sensor is defective.
