PRE-REMOVAL OPERATION
^ Removal of steering column assembly
REMOVAL STEPS
1. Lower glove box
2. Upper glove box
3. Lap heater duct
4. Ashtray
5. Ashtray protector
6. Fuse block lid
7. Fuse block mounting screws
8. Hood lock release cable
9. Meter hood cover
10. Meter hood
11. Speedometer cable
12. Meter case
13. Temperature control cables
14. Air duct
15. Connection of blower motor connector
16. Trim panel B
17. Trim panel A
18. Antenna feeder wire
19. Instrument panel
SERVICE POINTS OF REMOVAL
1. Removal Of Lower Glove Box
Loosen the screws shown in the illustration and then remove the lower glove box from the instrument panel.
2. Removal Of Upper Glove Box
After removing the lower glove box, loosen the screws shown in the illustration, and then remove the upper glove box from the instrument panel.
3. Removal Of Lap Heater Duct
Loosen the screws shown in the illustration, and then remove the lap heater duct from the instrument panel.
10. Removal Of Meter Hood
1. Remove the meter hood cover by using the trim stick.
2. Loosen the meter hood installation screws, and then pull the meter hood slightly toward you.
3. Next remove the connectors connected to the meter hood, and then remove the meter hood from the instrument panel.
12. Removal Of Meter Case
1. Remove the meter case.
2. Disconnect the connectors and meter cable from the rear side of the meter case.
16. Removal Of Trim Panel B/17. Trim Panel A
Remove each clip of the near side of trim panels A and B.
19. Removal Of Instrument Panel
Loosen the instrument panel installation bolts, screws and nuts, and then remove the instrument panel.
