Engine and transaxle must be removed as an assembly.
1. Remove engine and transaxle assembly, refer to Engine/Service and Repair, then remove transaxle from engine as follows:
a. Remove select control valve and vacuum tank assembly, then disconnect back up light switch, select switch and engage switch electrical connectors.
b. Remove actuator and starter motor, then the bell housing cover.
c. Remove transaxle to engine attaching bolts, then separate transaxle from engine.
2. Reverse procedure to install. Torque attaching bolts to specifications.
