Emission Maintenance Reminder (EMR) Light

Maintenance Reminder Light Reset Switch (Rear Of Instrument Panel) 1.5 & 1.8 Wagon rt#10:

Some models have an EGR or MAINTENANCE REQUIRED warning light in the dash, which will come on as a reminder to service the EGR system (every 50,000 miles), replace the oxygen sensor (every 80,000 miles), or replace the Charcoal Canister (every 100,000 miles). After inspecting the emission control system at 150,000 miles, remove the Maintenance Reminder Light bulb from its socket.

After servicing or replacing the components, the milage counter will need to be reset. The reset switch is located on the back of the instrument cluster. To reset the indicator light, slide the switch to the other side of its travel.
CAUTION: If the speedometer is to be replaced, set the new odometer to the same reading as the odometer being removed.
