Conditions For Switch-ON Of Headlight Relay:

Conditions for Switch-ON of Headlight Relay

Daytime Running Light Operation
^ Turn the ignition switch to the "ON" position, and the battery voltage will be applied from the fusible link No. 3 to the daytime running light control unit headlights (upper beam) and ground, and the headlights (upper beam) will illuminate.

Low-Beam Operation
^ The headlight relay is switched ON when the lighting switch is set to the "HEAD" position.

^ In this state, place the dimmer/passing switch in the "LO" position, and the lower beam relay will be closed and the headlights will be on low beam.

Upper-Beam Operation
^ The headlight relay is switched ON when the lighting switch is set to the "HEAD" position.

^ In this state, place the dimmer/passing switch in the "HI" position, and the upper beam relay will be closed and the headlights will be on high beam.

Upper-Beam Indicator Light
^ This indicator illuminates during use of the high beam of the headlights, and when the passing signal (high beam) is activated, thus indicating that the headlights' high beam is illuminated.

Passing Operation
^ When the dimmer/passing switch is set to the "ON" position, the headlight relay is switched ON and the upper beam of the headlight illuminates.
