TRANSAXLE REPLACE
1. Remove transaxle in numbered sequence shown noting following:
a. Drain transaxle oil.
b. Disconnect tie rod ends and lower ball joints using steering linkage puller tool No. MB991113, or equivalent.
c. Insert a pry bar between transaxle case and driveshaft and pry driveshaft from transaxle. Secure to body with wire.
d. Support transaxle assembly on a suitable transaxle jack, then move assembly to right, lower and remove from vehicle.
e. Reverse procedure to install. Tighten attaching bolts to specifications.
