Transaxle Replacement
1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Install engine support fixture tool No. C-4852, or equivalent.
3. Raise and support vehicle.
4. Disconnect gearshift linkage, clutch cable and speedometer cable from transaxle.
5. Remove front wheel and tire assemblies.
6. Remove left front splash shield, then the impact bracket from transaxle, if equipped.
7. Disconnect driveshafts.
8. Support transaxle and remove upper clutch housing bolts.
9. Remove left engine mount from transaxle noting location of bolts.
10. Remove anti-rotational link. Do not remove bracket from transaxle.
11. Remove transaxle to engine attaching bolts.
12. Move engine and transaxle toward left side of vehicle until mainshaft clears clutch and lower and remove transaxle.
13. Reverse procedure to install. When installing left engine mount, refer to "Engine Mount, Replace" in appropriate engine section.
