System Coverage

All 1995 Chrysler Cirrus, Dodge Neon and Stratus, and Plymouth Neon vehicles may be equipped with the Bendix ABX-4 brake system.

Three different types of controller-antilock brake (CAB) modules are used for the ABX-4 brake system. The first version was used on the early 94-1/2 Neon vehicles and was capable of reporting 16 trouble codes. The other two CAB's are used on the new JA body vehicle (Cirrus and Stratus) and the late 1995 PL body vehicle (Neon). These controllers are capable of reporting 38 trouble codes. The CAB's can be identified using the DRB scan tool. If replacement of an early model Neon CAB is required, the later version will be used.
