NOTE:
THIS BULLETIN APPLIES TO 2.0L SOHC ENGINES EXCEPT FOR TLEV VEHICLES. THESE VEHICLES CAN BE IDENTIFIED BY THE NOTATION "TLEV" ON THE V.E.C.I. (VEHICLE EMISSION CONTROL INFORMATION) LABEL LOCATED ON THE UNDER SIDE OF THE HOOD.

DISCUSSION:

Most 1995 Neons are equipped with pistons which can be identified by a casting number of 4667965 (located on the inside skirt panel of the piston). If it becomes necessary to replace a Piston/Connecting Rod Assembly on these vehicles, replace only the Piston/Connecting Rod Assembly that requires service. Use P/N 4773975.

Some vehicles built from February 9, 1994 through February 25, 1994 may be equipped with pistons identified by a casting number of 4556661. If it becomes necessary to replace a Piston/Connecting Rod Assembly on these vehicles, the complete set of four Piston/Connecting Rod Assemblies must be replaced. Use four of P/N 4773975.
