NOTE:
THIS BULLETIN APPLIES TO VEHICLES BUILT BEFORE APRIL 1, 1995 (MDH 04-01-XX).

SYMPTOM/CONDITION:

Quantity of fuel that can be dispensed into fuel tank after low warning light comes on is less than expected. If this is the condition, perform the repair procedure.

PARTS REQUIRED:

1 4695258 Fuel Tank, Federal Emissions
1 4764120 Fuel Tank, California Emissions

REPAIR PROCEDURE:

This bulletin involves installing a revised fuel tank that has a shorter fill neck insert.

1. Drain and remove fuel tank from vehicle as described on page 14-13 of the 1995 Cirrus/Stratus Service Manual, Publication No. 81-270-5121.

2. Switch the fuel pump module from the old tank to the new tank. Use new module seal provided. Torque lock nut to 61 Nm (45 ft.lbs.).

NOTE:
USE CAUTION TO PREVENT ANY FOREIGN MATERIAL FROM ENTERING FUEL TANK.

3. Install tank into vehicle.
