APPLICATION
Three-speed automatic transaxles use a torque converter clutch solenoid.

PURPOSE
The PCM controls the engagement of the torque converter clutch through the solenoid (Fig. 25).

OPERATION
The torque converter clutch is engaged up only in direct drive mode.
