NAME OF CODEDoor Lock Switch Failure
WHEN MONITORED
Any time battery voltage is above 10.0 volts and the BCM is awake.
SET CONDITION
The BCM senses a voltage on the door lock switch output (lock) circuit for longer than 4 seconds.
THEORY OF OPERATION
The BCM interfaces with the power door lock switch. Each switch when activated will send a 12 volt signal to the BCM. The BCM will monitor the switch for a stuck condition (active for more than 4 seconds) and set this code.
POSSIBLE CAUSES
- Stuck switch.
- Door lock switch output (lock) circuit shorted to voltage
- Switch held in lock position too long.
- Defective BCM.
