Rocker Arm

The design of the front suspension used on this vehicle incorporates a component called a rocker arm.

The rocker arm is made of a high strength aluminum alloy using a process called semi solid forming.

One rocker arm is used on each side of the vehicle's front suspension. The rocker arm is mounted to the frame of the vehicle using a through bolt and a bearing type bushing.

The rocker arm connects the right and left push rod to the right and left shock absorber and to the front stabilizer bar. The rocker arms are used to transfer the jounce and rebound travel of the lower control arms to the front shock absorbers and to the stabilizer bar.

The rocker arms are replaceable as a separate component of the vehicle's front suspension. Also, the pivot bushing and the ball joint can be replaced as separate components of the rocker arm. Thus eliminating the need to replace the rocker arm in the event of an bushing or bearing failure.
