Suspension: Service Precautions

CAUTION:
- Use care when removing the suspension components from this vehicle. The suspension components are not to be removed from the vehicle by striking them with a hammer or heating them.

- Do not bend or hammer on the clevis brackets that mount the suspension components to the frame of the vehicle.

- When handling suspension components of this vehicle during service procedures do not drop them. If a suspension component of this vehicle is dropped during servicing of the vehicle, the component must be thoroughly inspected for damage or cracks before being installed on the vehicle.

- Because of the extensive use of aluminum, all components and fasteners of the front and rear suspension system are designed to prevent galvanic corrosion. When servicing the suspension, always use the special coated bolts, nuts, washers and ball joints.

- All fastener torque values of the suspension system are critical and must be closely observed.
