Seat Assembly
SEAT ASSEMBLYREMOVAL
NOTE: Lowering the convertible top will ease in the removal and installation.
1. Tilt the steering wheel in the full up position.
2. Remove the seat belt strap anchor bolt. Disengage the seat belt strap from the seat belt guide.
3. Place seat back in the most forward position.
4. Position seat to the full forward position.
5. Remove nuts attaching the rear seat frame to floor.
6. Slide seat to the rearward position.
7. Remove bolts attaching front seat frame to floor.
8. Disconnect seat belt wire connector (driver's side only).
9. Carefully lift seat out of vehicle.
CAUTION: Do not lift seat assembly out of vehicle by the adjuster handle. This may cause the handle to overtravel, damage to handle/latch mechanism and tracks can become misaligned.
INSTALLATION
NOTE:
- Ensure that the rearmost edge of the upper and lower tracks are aligned and flush prior to installation.
- Do not cycle seat track until front seat track bolts are installed as tracks can become misaligned.
1. Carefully position seat assembly over the rear studs.
2. Connect seat belt wire connector (driver's side only).
3. Install front bolts attaching seat to floor. Tighten bolts to 54 N.m (40 ft.lbs.) torque.
4. Install rear nuts attaching seat to floor. Tighten nuts to 54 N.m (40 ft.lbs.) torque.
5. Install seat belt strap through seat belt guide on seat back. Install seat belt anchor bolt.
6. Verify proper operation.
