Transmission Fan Relay

DESCRIPTION

The single speed transmission fan is controlled by using a relay. The relay is located in the Power Distribution Center (PDC) . A label on the inside of the PDC cover indicates the location of each relay and fuse. Refer to DIAGRAMS for a circuit schematic.

OPERATION
The Powertrain Control Module (PCM) controls the operation of relay depending on transmission fluid temperature. When fan operation conditions are met, the PCM provides a ground to the control circuit of the relay. Refer to Specifications for fan on/off conditions.
