Instrument Panel End Cap

INSTRUMENT PANEL END COVER

REMOVAL

LEFT END COVER

1. Open the left door, pull on the access handle and pivot the end cover around A-pillar to disengage end cover clips. The fuse puller, spare fuses and fuse diagram are located on left instrument panel end cover. Fuse access is under the left instrument panel end cover (Fig. 3).

RIGHT END COVER

1. Open hood.
2. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
3. Open right door.

4. Using a trim stick (special tool #C-4755) or equivalent, gently pry out on the right instrument panel end cover to disengage clips (Fig. 8).
5. Unplug two posi-lock wire connectors to Passenger Airbag ON/OFF Switch.
6. Remove instrument panel end cover from vehicle.

INSTALLATION

LEFT END COVER
Ensure spare fuses are seated to left end cover.

1. Snap the end cover into place over the fuses and fuse puller.

RIGHT END COVER
The Passenger Airbag ON/OFF Switch must be transferred to the new instrument panel end cover.

1. Connect the passenger airbag ON/OFF switch (Fig. 8).
2. Snap the end cover into the retaining slots.

WARNING: DO NOT CONNECT THE BATTERY NEGATIVE CABLE. REFER TO RESTRAINT SYSTEMS - AIRBAG SYSTEM FIRST.
