Wiper Control Module: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Open hood.
2. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.

3. Remove wiper arms and blades, disconnect hoses from in-line connectors. Be sure that the in-line connector is saved.
4. Remove engine compartment hood.
5. Remove upper hood side panel left side.
6. Remove hood hinge.
7. Remove the cowl trim cover and disconnect the washer hose.
8. Remove the two braces.
9. Disconnect the motor wire harness connector.
10. Remove three module mounting screws.
11. Slide the module assembly out the left of the cowl using care not scratch the surface of the vehicle.

INSTALLATION
1. Position the module in the cowl.
2. Install the three mounting screws. Tighten the motor assembly mounting screws to 1.7 to 2.26 Nm (15 to 20 in. lbs.) torque.
3. Connect the wire harness connector.
4. Install the two module braces.
5. Install the cowl trim cover and connect the washer hoses.
6. Install the hood hinge.
7. Install the upper hood left side panel.
8. Install the engine compartment hood.
9. Install wiper arms.
10. Connect the battery negative cable.
