Cooling System: Service and Repair
PROCEDUREOpen bleed valves on thermostat housing and heater outlet hose pipe prior to adding coolant. Add coolant through radiator neck until level is at base of the neck. Close each bleed valve as solid flow of coolant is emitted from valve. Wait for two minutes and recheck the coolant level. Add coolant if necessary to restore coolant level to base of radiator neck. Install radiator cap making certain that the arrows on the cap line up with the overflow tube. Check the coolant level in the recovery reservoir and add coolant as necessary.
NOTES:
^ Do NOT over-torque air bleed valves.
^ After cooling system has been filled, low coolant warning light may remain on until ignition system is cycled.
