Gages Cluster (U2F) (U50)

FUEL GAGE
The fuel gage displays the level of fuel in the vehicle's fuel tank. The gage is an electronically controlled air core display that receives input from the fuel gage sender as a varying resistance proportional to the fuel level.

OIL PRESSURE GAGE
The oil pressure gage displays the engine oil pressure. The gage is an electronically controlled core display that receives input from the oil pressure sensor/switch as a varying resistance proportional to the engine oil pressure. This display is not linear, the gage is more precise in the middle than at the extremes of its range. Some visible fluctuations will be normal during operation.

COOLANT TEMPERATURE GAGE
The coolant temperature gage displays the engine coolant temperature. The gage is an electronically controlled air core display that receives input from the digital engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor as a varying resistance proportionate to the engine coolant temperature. This display is not linear, the gage is more precise in the middle than at the extremes of its range. Some visible fluctuations are normal during operation.

VOLTS GAGE
The volts gage, available only with the U50 gages cluster (Bonneville SSE), displays the voltage of the vehicle's electrical system with the Ignition in "RUN," "BULB TEST," or "START." With the engine not running, the volts gage indicates battery voltage. With the engine running, the volts gage indicates charging system voltage.

The volts gage is an electronically controlled air core display. This display is not linear, it is more precise in the middle than at the extremes of its range.

SPEEDOMETER
The speedometer displays the vehicle speed. The Powertrain Control Module (PCM) sends a pulsed signal to the speedometer circuit proportional to the vehicle speed. The speedometer circuit directly drives the speedometer needle.

TACHOMETER
The tachometer displays engine speed. It is electronically controlled, direct drive display that receives engine speed input from the electronic ignition (EI) module.

DRIVER INFORMATION CENTER
The driver information center (DIC) is a two color vacuum fluorescent (VF) display that contains the odometers, warning indicators, lamp monitor displays, and a graphic representation of the vehicle.

ODOMETERS
The odometer and trip odometer are both vacuum fluorescent displays of accumulated vehicle mileage. Both odometers are driven by the speedometer circuit, which receives a vehicle speed input from the PCM.

The odometer records vehicle mileage up to 999,999 miles (or kilometers), then locks at 999,999. The trip odometer records vehicle mileage up to 5000.0 miles (or kilometers) then reset to 0000.0. The trip odometer can also be reset to 0000.0 by pressing the TRIP switch.
