Troubleshooting Hints - Exterior Lights

PERFORM BEFORE BEGINNING SYSTEM DIAGNOSIS:
1. If neither the Turn Lights nor Back Up Lights work, check the TURN B/U Fuse.
2. If neither the Stop Lights or Hazard Lights work, check the S/LP Fuse.
3. If one of the Turn Indicators goes on when the Park Lights are turned on, check the Front Turn Light on that side.
4. If a Turn Indicator lights steadily (does not flash) when the Turn Signal is on, check the Turn Lights on that side.
5. For any of the following symptoms, replace the Turn/ Hazard Switch:
^ Some Turn Lights work and all Hazard Lights work.
^ Some Hazard Lights work and all Turn Lights work.
^ Hazard Lights do not turn off.
6. If Turn Lights stay on (do not flash) with the Turn Switch in both LEFT and RIGHT replace the Turn Flasher.
7. If Hazard Lights stay on (do not flash) with the Hazard Switch ON, replace the Hazard Flasher.
8. If a Turn Indicator does not light, but the Turn Lights work, check the bulb, connections, and wiring to the indicator.
9. If neither the Park, Marker, nor Tail Lights work, check the TAIL Fuse, ORN (240) and BRN (9) wires and the Light Switch for an open.
10. If only one light does not operate, check bulb, socket, and related wiring (see schematic).
11. If the Stop Lights stay on without the brake pedal depressed, adjust/replace the Brake Switch.
12. If the Park Lights do not turn off, replace the Headlight Switch Assembly.
13. If only the Center High Mounted Stop Light does not work, check the Center High Mounted Stop Light and the LT BLU (20) and the BLK (150) wires for an open.
14. If none of the Stop Lights work, check the Brake Switch and ORN (140) wire for continuity (see schematic).
15. If Turn Lights flash too quickly or are inoperative and a trailering package has been installed, check, for correct Turn Signal Flasher usage (a Hazard Flasher is needed).
