Description

The manual air conditioning system (C61) is a vacuum and electrically controlled heating, ventilating and air conditioning system. Vacuum circuits determine air intake and discharge locations; electrical circuits control A/C compressor clutch operation, fan operation and discharge air temperature.

The driver may select from eight different modes of operation from the system control panel. Fan speed and outlet air temperature are also manually adjustable from the control panel.

The manual air conditioning systems utilize the variable displacement orifice tube (VDOT) type refrigeration system. This refrigeration system is described in Heating and Ventilation System (With A/C).
